Manage Your Data
If you still have app access, many data controls are available in Settings. You can also use this page to request an export or submit a verified deletion request.
What a deletion actually removes
So there is no ambiguity about what "delete" means, here is what is erased, what is kept, and how long each step takes.
- Erased: your account record, and the tasks, events, saved locations, goals, profile and scheduling data held in our synced database.
- Erased: your membership of any shared workspace, and your authored comments within it.
- Kept: data that never left your device is not ours to delete — remove it by deleting the app, which removes its local database with it.
- Kept: newsletter records are held separately from your account and are removed when you unsubscribe, not when you delete your account.
- Kept: purchase history lives with Apple, not with Trueday, so we cannot delete it. Manage it in your Apple Account.
- Kept where required: records we must retain to meet a legal or tax obligation, for as long as that obligation lasts.
- Backups: your data is erased from the live database when the request completes. Any backup copy is never restored into live systems for operational purposes, expires on our provider's rolling schedule within 30 days, and has your deletion re-applied to it if a restore ever happens.
- Inactive accounts: if you do not sign in for 24 months, we email your registered address and erase the account and its planning data 30 days later unless you sign in during that window.
Verified requests are processed within 30 days, subject to legal exceptions. If a request is denied you can appeal by replying to the confirmation email or contacting support@truedayapp.com.
