Information We Collect

Trueday is designed local-first. If you use the app without an account, your tasks, events, and profile data stay on your device. If you create an account, we process your email address, display name, user identifier, and authentication details so you can sign in and use sync features.

Storage, Sync, and Purchases

Local data is stored on your device by default. If you enable account-based sync, task, calendar, profile, goal, location, and scheduling data may sync through our hosted infrastructure over encrypted connections. Subscription and purchase status is handled by Apple through StoreKit.

How We Use Information

We use information to operate the app, process privacy requests, improve reliability, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal information and do not use your data for cross-app or cross-site advertising.

Third-Party Services and Disclosures

We rely on service providers such as Apple for in-app purchases and device services, our sync infrastructure for account-based syncing, and mapping providers for route estimates when location features are enabled. Calendar access is used to display your external events and help avoid scheduling conflicts.

Security and Retention

We use reasonable safeguards including encrypted connections, access controls, and platform protections. Cloud-synced account data is retained while your account remains active. If you delete your account, cloud data is removed in line with operational and legal obligations.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, export, delete, correct, or object to the processing of your personal data. You may also manage many of these choices directly from the app's Settings and Data & Backups screens.

Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Permissions and Device Features

Location permission is optional and used for commute estimates, route planning, and location-aware scheduling. Calendar permission is optional and used to show your existing events and avoid scheduling over them. If enabled, coordinates may be sent to mapping providers such as Apple Maps to calculate travel estimates.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and posting the revised policy.
